The Council works to build the school community by: establishing goals that are in the best interest of the school, fundraising as necessary to meet these goals, providing feedback to the board and administration on school programs and policies, and representing the interests of parents and students. The School Council is composed of parent volunteers and a small number of staff including: a teacher representative, a non-teaching representative, the principal, and the vice principal. Council meetings are held the first Tuesday of the month in the learning commons starting at 6:30 p.m. All are welcome to attend to gain a better understanding of council related topics, the school routines and culture, or to contribute your perspective to the discussion. If you are unable to attend personally, you can share your thoughts and ideas with a council member to present on your behalf. Minutes are posted on the website.
