Cycling & Helmet Safety

posted May 12, 2017, 5:33 AM by Joseph Cinanni

This weekend is the helmet discount weekend - May 13 & 14, 2017!

For a sixth year, Ottawa Public Health has partnered with sports retailers across Ottawa to bring residents a discount on helmets. Helmets prevent serious brain and head injuries by absorbing the force from a fall or hit to the head. Helmets are recommended for activities like skateboarding, rollerblading, biking, sledding, skating, skiing and snowboarding.

For a list of participating helmet retailers, please visit partner retailers across ottawa.
